What to Expect on a PVP Vanilla Realm
On a PVP realm, open-world player vs. player combat is enabled in contested zones. Players of opposing factions can attack each other outside of sanctuaries, creating a more competitive and unpredictable leveling and endgame experience.
At level 60, Vanilla endgame content includes raids such as Molten Core, Onyxia, Blackwing Lair, AQ20/AQ40, and Naxxramas. With Instant, your progression speed toward this content will vary - with Instant your leveling experience will be faster than the original game, letting you reach endgame content sooner.

How to Play on RetroWoW - Instant Vanilla PVP
- Download the Vanilla client. You need a World of Warcraft Vanilla client (patch 1.12.1) to connect. Our Vanilla client download guide has direct download links and setup instructions.
- Create an account. Visit the server's website (linked in the info panel above) and register a new account.
- Set the realmlist. Open the
realmlist.wtffile in your WoW client folder and replace the contents with the realmlist shown in the server info panel above. You can click the copy button to grab it instantly. - Log in and play. Launch the WoW client, enter your account credentials, and select the realm to start playing.
