Are there Dragonflight private servers?
A few, mostly with small reported populations, including Dragonflight.su (10x, one of the first 10.x projects), GamersCentral (1x TrinityCore realm on patch 10.1.7 from a German gaming community) and Lightwell 2 (an RP realm that has already moved to The War Within client).

How complete are Dragonflight private servers?
They are in active development, and features like Dragonriding, work-order professions and the Vault of the Incarnates and later raids are each scripted separately. Check the realm's Discord or news page and its most recent reviews to see what currently works.

What client do I need for a Dragonflight private server?
A 10.x build that matches the server exactly, delivered through the server's own launcher. Download it from the server's website and register there; the launcher writes the connection settings for you.

Dragonflight servers today
Dragonflight has only a few listed servers, mostly with small reported populations and none from the big multi-expansion networks. Dragonflight.su was one of the first projects to bring 10.x content to players and runs at 10x rates. GamersCentral is a 1x TrinityCore realm on patch 10.1.7 from a long-established German gaming community. Lightwell 2 is a roleplay realm that has already moved to The War Within client.
In other words, Dragonflight private servers are for players who want to see the Dragon Isles, try Dragonriding or roleplay in modern zones, not for anyone expecting a fully scripted Mythic+ and raid ladder with thousands of players. Emulation of 10.x is still catching up, and the servers are honest about being in development.
Before you commit
Check the realm's Discord or news page for what actually works: Dragonriding, professions with work orders, the Vault of the Incarnates and later raids, and the new talent trees are each a separate scripting effort. Read the newest reviews rather than the oldest. And if your priority is a big population on a modern client, the Legion page is where the modern-expansion crowd actually is.
Getting connected
Dragonflight servers generally use their own launcher or a specific 10.x build, and the client must match the server's patch exactly. Download from the server's website, let the launcher set the connection (it writes the SET portal line in WTF/Config.wtf for you), and register an account there.
