Project Ebonhold - A Roguelite Reimagining of Wrath of the Lich King

Project Ebonhold delivers a completely unique World of Warcraft experience by combining the world and content of a Wrath of the Lich King server with addictive roguelite progression inspired by Vampire Survivors. Every run offers new choices, new builds, and meaningful account-wide progression, creating an experience built around replayability, challenge, and long-term character growth.

Build Your Character Through Echoes

Every run begins at level 1. As you level up, you'll choose from a selection of random Echoes-powerful abilities that shape your build and dramatically alter your gameplay. Echoes come in multiple rarities and categories, allowing you to focus on offense, survivability, mobility, utility, and more.

No two runs are exactly alike. The Echoes you discover determine your strengths, weaknesses, and strategy for the challenges ahead.

Permanent Account-Wide Progression

While death ends your current run and removes your temporary Echoes, your overall progress is never lost.

Experience earned during a run is converted into Soul Ashes, a permanent currency used to unlock upgrades in an extensive account-wide Skill Tree. These upgrades provide lasting bonuses to damage, survivability, resource generation, and other core attributes.

Every run contributes to your long-term progression, ensuring that each attempt leaves you stronger than before.

A More Dangerous Azeroth

The world of Ebonhold is far deadlier than traditional Wrath of the Lich King. Thousands of additional enemies have been added throughout Azeroth, creating a constant sense of danger and opportunity.

As you collect Soul Ashes, your Intensity level increases, causing more enemies, ambushes, and world events to appear. Players willing to push their Intensity higher can earn greater rewards, but they must also survive increasingly overwhelming odds.

At the highest levels of Intensity, players may even trigger the appearance of The Reaper, a powerful world boss designed to challenge large groups of adventurers.

Gear, Affixes, and Build Customization

Equipment plays a major role in your progression because gear persists between runs.

Quest rewards, crafted items, and dungeon loot have been enhanced to remain relevant throughout your journey. In addition, gear can drop with randomized affixes that provide unique bonuses and build-defining effects.

Affixes can be extracted and transferred to other pieces of equipment for a gold cost, giving players extensive control over their character's optimization and allowing for highly customized builds.

Progressive Content Updates

Project Ebonhold follows a progressive content model. The server currently features content through the Ulduar era, with future updates introducing additional raids, new Echoes, expanded Skill Tree paths, and fresh progression systems.

This ensures a continually evolving endgame while preserving a sense of progression and discovery.

Hardcore Challenges

For players seeking greater risk and greater rewards, Ebonhold offers multiple Hardcore difficulty options.

Hardcore characters receive enhanced rewards but face severe consequences upon death. Surviving these challenges requires careful planning, strong builds, and exceptional execution.
